The Ministry through Music @ Berea
Music at Berea is in place to provide music for our worship services, but in the process, it fulfills many other needs.
- In Children’s Choirs, we hope to educate and encourage children, spiritually, musically, and socially, wishing for them a lifetime of enjoyment in singing praises to their Lord. We value the importance our children are afforded as they participate and lead in worship. With encouragement, they may become future music leaders.
- For adults, we seek to encourage and develop skills by providing opportunities for use of their God-given talents in worship. As well, we reinforce note-reading, vocal skills, choral technique, and leadership.
- All choirs, soloists, and instrumentalists help to provide music in worship services. We have been blessed as attendance continues to increase and services have been added.
- The Handbell Choir plays four or five times a year, bringing music to worship in a new way for many. We play hymn arrangements and other original compositions. Berea has 3 octaves of Choir Chimes and 4 ½ octaves of Handbells.
The following are the choirs and ensembles currently in place, but there is always room for more. At Berea, we believe everyone needs to identify their place in ministry. Could the Music Ministry be your place of service? Would you be interested in being a part of this ministry, maybe helping us bring music to our
Middle and High School students?
